Fashion and cars do mix! Bentley Motors launched a handbag line today in California. There are two separate styles in the collection and the colors are based off of Bentley paint finishes (Fireglow Red, Linen, Neptune Blue, etc). Bentley Motors will sell their handbags through trunk shows and events in various countries.
I must admit these bags are absolutely GORGEOUS but would you expect anything less from Bentley? Bentley teamed up with designer Vincent du Sartel who previously designed at Louis Vuitton and Loewe and they didn’t disappoint!
The Barnato bag was based off of a loyal Bentley customer, late English aviatrix Diana Barnato-Walker, acclaimed pilot who was the first British woman to break the sound barrier. Price tag on this handbag is $7000.
The Continental is named after the Bentley automobile with the same name. This handbag costs $5500.

I enjoy highlighting when fashion has a purpose. It never gets old when designers take the time to create something that will benefit a great cause, same for large retailers. Fashion isn’t always about the skinny models, overpriced pieces, or the glitz and glam most books and movies are made of. Social causes and fashion make a great mix in my book.
This isn’t Rachel Roy’s first time at giving back; she makes an effort to give back in several different avenues on the regular basis. She teamed up with Lauren Bush Lauren, Founder and CEO of FEED to create a FEED India bag that when purchased will feed 100 school meals to children in India. These bags were launched in May of this year.
This limited edition tote bag comes in two different colors, white or orange and costs $78. This late in the season, you can only find orange, white is sold out.
What I truly like about FEED is that they specify on every product bought how much you are helping instead of just saying a percentage of the proceeds. To learn more about the project and to purchase bags, accessories or apparel; go to http://www.feedprojects.com. All bags are sold out on Rachel Roy’s site but there are plenty of other items to catch your eye at http://www.rachelroy.com.

March 22nd is the debut of June Ambrose’s shoe line with HSN. Most of us fashionistas have heard of June in her role as a celebrity stylist/designer and author. The list of celebrities she has styles is long and impressive (Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Will Smith, Kelly Ripa, Alicia Keys, and Kim Cattrell, to name a few). She also had a show on VH1 that let you see the process and hard work it took to style celebrities, I loved that show!
I don’t use the word admire lightly but June is definitely someone I admire. She has to be a time management Guru with everything that she balances with work and family! June comes across as a down to earth, genuine person. I love her positive quotes, pics, RockMom chronicles and all of her tips that she provides on Instagram and Juniverse.
June Ambrose is now using her unique style to design shoes that will be loved by women everywhere! I follow June on Instagram @juneambrose and I have been able to see some sneak peeks of the line! I am definitely a fan of the Faye, pictured below. Mint is the perfect color for Spring! This lovely shoe has suede trim and the heel is at least 4 inches. Faye also comes in black/white and gold. The price point isn’t a budget buster, yay :)! $109 or you can do HSN flex payments.
I would imagine that once this line debuts, it will sell out quickly. I would suggest that you go ahead and book-mark HSN on your favorites and order your size before it’s too late!

Check out June’s site, it is full of great beauty, fashion and mom tips 🙂 Her site is a fave of mine.

Rachel Roy is a brilliant and beautiful designer! She is also heavily involved in charities. Rachel started her design career at Rocawear and became the Creative Director. Roy launched her own line in 2005, Rachel Roy New York. I have always been a fan of Roy’s work. You will see her in an upcoming Closet Crush post in the near future, I think she has great style 🙂
Rachel Roy believes in positive energy and see shows that through her charity work and the jewelry she designs. The Cannes Film Festival started on May 11th and ends on the 22nd. Here are some of my favorite looks from the first 3 days of Cannes. It was hard to only pick a few looks, but I managed.
This first look is by far, my favorite look! Aishwarya Rai looked radiant in this Armani Prive Couture dress at the Sleeping Beauty premiere! This dress was from the 2011 Armani Prive Spring line. Forget the fact that she won the Miss World title in 1994, she is one of the most successful actresses in India and has 2 Filmfare Best Actress Awards.
Sleeping Beauty Premiere Cannes 2011
Cheryl Cole, a judge from X-Factor wore a stunning white dress from Stephane Rolland Spring 2o11 Couture dress. Rolland isn’t a very popular designer on the red carpet but his dresses always deliver some flair. I think her simple ponytail and dark make-up was a great contrast to the white gown.
Habemus Papam Premiere Cannes Film
Last but not least, is Salma Hayek. She is wearing a Gucci Premiere Couture gown and looks perfect! Since her gown is beaded she kept her make-up and hair simple to not overshadow her dress.
Who has your favorite vote so far on the Red Carpet?
I will admit that I have been really slack with my posts, lately. Life has just kept me a bit busy lately but I am back on track, starting tonight 🙂
Since today has been all about the Royal Wedding, let’s talk about it. I kid, I kid! I know a lot of people are burnt out from all of TV coverage on the Royal Wedding (I am one of those people).
I am attending 2 weddings, so far, this year and I can’t wait. That’s what is on my mind this evening, weddings and what to wear.
Here’s one of the dresses that I may wear, I just need to get some new shoes. What’s your opinion, should I wear this to one of the weddings?
Balenciaga has a line of messenger bags perfect for Spring! The bags are online as an exclusive gift currently. You will also receive a complimentary key ring with your purchase 🙂 These bags are simple without a lot of embellishments which will be great if you are into all of the patterns on clothes for Spring.
The Ligne Papier Messenger bag is made in Italy with soft calfskin leather and brass metal hardware accents. The bag has a zippered top and a shoulder strap. This great bag comes in 3 colors; Pomme, Framboise, and Yellow. This bag will cost you $895 if you order directly from Balenciaga.
Last week, I was truly excited because it felt like Spring but Spring is a tease in NC, it’s now cold and rainy. I’m sure I’m not the only one ready for Spring weather (minus the pollen, of course!). Let’s talk trends for Spring. I am not normally into trends but I think the trends are versatile enough to keep is all happy 🙂 Here a few of my favorite trends for the Spring.
Colorful dresses….it looks like your little black dress can be pushed towards the back of your closet this Spring because it’s going to be all about colorful dresses! Dresses with or without patterns will work, just make sure you have lots color.
Another trend is espadrilles. I drooled over my computer when I saw these beauties in my inbox, from Aldo! I see lots of pedicures in the future.
Aldo - Dyle
Arm Candy will be another trend, layering bracelets or a nice chunky cuff. Personally for me, the noise when I move my arm from layering bangles drives me crazy. I may be a little more biased towards a cuff for that reason.
Stella & Dot
Crochet tops! I have noticed a lot of crochet tops lately in the stores and I am very happy to see them being a trend this Spring. I think the crochet has a vintage feel and what could be wrong with vintage?
The last trend, I will mention tonight is drapey shorts. I think these shorts will be a very popular because they look so comfortable! This trend doesn’t leave much gym time though 😦
American Eagle Outfitters
What’s your favorite trend for the Spring???
How would a popular handbag celebrate its 70th anniversary? By making limited editions handbags!!! That’s right, limited edition Coach bags…squuuueeeeeee!
